With a dynamic new approach to hotel management, the Scarlett Hotel Group announces its formation and official launch! Established and led by three skilled, motivated, and seasoned hoteliers, the Scarlett Hotel Group combines more than 40 years of hospitality industry experience and insight.

Andrew Scarlett has held leadership roles in property-level operations with three industry-leading management companies, including general manager roles at two award-winning urban select serve hotels in downtown Chicago. Most recently, he was the director of operations at a high-volume dual-branded Marriott property for White Lodging.

In his more than eight years with First Hospitality Group, most recently as the Director of Real Estate and Asset Management overseeing a 35 hotel portfolio, Rob Sadoff has secured more than a dozen new contracts through development and acquisitions, and by nurturing owner relationships.

For the past seven years Zio Pekovic has served as VP of Acquisitions & Development for the Bricton Group.  Prior to that, he was a leading broker for the hospitality group practice of a publicly traded brokerage firm. While with The Bricton Group, Mr. Pekovic helped acquire two major full-service Chicago area Marriott hotels with investments totaling $90 million, multiple select-service hotels, and was actively involved in asset management and investor relations.

All three Principals have had extensive experience working for first-class management companies, and together, they bring a unique perspective. SHG believes that frequent guests are happy guests, and that guest satisfaction is a reflection of the team culture at each hotel. Consistent and effective communication, training, and recognition encourage a positive, motivated, and fulfilling team environment.

“As entrepreneurs,” says Scarlett, “we feel the time is right to build an organization that offers a top quality team member experience, based on proven best-practices and our collective experience, to drive guest satisfaction.”

While today marks its official launch, Scarlett Hotel Group is already off to a strong start, having acquired the Residence Inn in downtown Clearwater, Florida. This 115-room custom-built seven-story hotel leads consistently in the competitive set marketplace. “This is the kind of property we understand and excel at operating,” says Sadoff, “and we will focus on what we know best, continuing to acquire premium brand select serve hotels.”

Recently approved as a Marriott operator, Scarlett Hotel Group is aggressively seeking opportunities and is currently under contract for a second Marriott property and expects to close during the first quarter of 2017.  Scarlett Hotel Group will grow its portfolio via acquisitions, joint ventures, new development, and third party management in 2017.
