U.S. hotel results for week ending Jan. 4
Due to the New Year’s holiday shift, the U.S. hotel industry reported positive year-over-year (YOY) comparisons, according to CoStar’s latest data through Jan. 4.
Dec. 29 through Jan. 4 (percentage change from comparable week in 2023 and 2024):
Occupancy: 48.3% (+2.9%)
ADR:$168.90 (+11.7%)
RevPAR: $81.53 (+14.9%)
Among the top 25 markets, Tampa reported the largest YOY occupancy increase (+29.7% to 77.5%).
New York City posted the highest lifts in ADR (+30.7% to $340.79) and RevPAR (+48.4% to$283.03).
The steepest RevPAR declines were reported in St. Louis (-26.0% to $36.02) and Seattle (-18.4% to $54.23).
